To secure a place in a course at Village English Ltd, applicants must return the Registration Form together with the proof of payment of $500.00 Canadian Dollars.
Upon receipt of the application and deposit, a Letter of Acceptance is issued with an invoice to be paid at least 2 weeks before the set course start date. The Letter of Acceptance will be needed if you require a visa to enter Canada. If a Registration Form is received less than 4 weeks of the course start date, course fees must be paid in full to finalize the registration. All bank charges must be paid by the student. Minimum age for students is 16.
Village English Ltd offers Travel Insurance at a rate of CAD $2.00/day. Arrangements will be made at the time of booking. If a student decides to organize his/her own travel insurance to cover medical and repatriation costs in the case of an illness or accident, a copy of the insurance policy must be provided to Village English Ltd. before the course start date for the student’s records.
Students requiring Village English Ltd to arrange their accommodation will be charged an accommodation placement fee. This must be paid in advance together with the course deposit and is non-refundable.
Accommodation fees are payable to Village English Ltd and are never to be paid directly to the residence or host family.
Accommodation is booked from Sunday to Saturday.
If your accommodation involves extra days, you will be charged a daily rate of CAD $50 for up to 3 nights. If you require more than three nights, you will be charged the full weekly rate.
If you want to change or cancel your accommodation, you must inform Village English Ltd no later than eight days prior to the change or cancellation date. If changes or cancellations are received with less than eight days’ notice, a cancellation charge of one week’s accommodation will be payable.
Village English Ltd acts only as an intermediary between its students and host families. Village English Ltd is not responsible for any delay or accident during a journey or for any incident which may take place during the student’s stay with the host family. Village English Ltd will defend the student’s interests in the event of a breach of contract on the part of the host family.
Village English Ltd reserves the right not to allow a student suffering from any illness, medical condition, or mental or physical disability which has not been disclosed on the Registration Form to attend school activities and classes.
Village English Ltd will use the personal information presented to us from students, including information about health and religious or dietary requirements, to fulfill our contract with the students. We may also use it to ensure that we comply with Canadian Standards, for internal training, or to send you further information about our courses and services.
We do not share your details with third parties unless it is necessary to fulfill our contracts. The information given to us is kept securely on our computer system. Students have to inform Village English Ltd in writing if do not wish to receive further communications from Village English Ltd, or if they would like a copy of the personal information in our possession.
Village English Ltd reserves the right to use photographs taken during courses and trips to exhibit its promotional materials. If a student wishes that his or her photo should not appear on this material, they may write to Village English Ltd within one month of the photo-shoot. These photos have no commercial or contractual value.
