All curricula and syllabi are calculated in ECTS points. To break down the artificial concept to real life lectures, CUS calculates ECTS on the ratio of 1:6 i.e. 1 ECTS equates to 6 hours of lecturer’s time. 1 ECTS point is equal to 30 hours of workload for the student. For each ECTS point in a syllabus, the university retains its lecturer for a period 6 hours of teaching. Hence, the student has the opportunity to communicate with the lecturer, both online and offline, for 6 hours per each ECTS point of the program. Normally the lessons are granted for 2 to 4 ECTS points. Thus, compared to other universities, CUS offers a more intense student/lecturer contact on a more personal basis. Cubidor University Switzerland offers a very intense student/lecturer contact scheme.
